The Bosch IoT Things service has been migrated to the Bosch IoT Cloud 2.0 environment.

The new service release comes with various bug fixes and operational improvements.

Further, the Topologies (BETA) resources now provide a rudimentary search functionality. Specific search criteria are not supported so far, instead all Topology IDs the requester is allowed to read are listed.

The new service release comes with following highlights:

  • HTTP API version 2 supporting policy-based access control

  • New concept and implementation of fine-grained access control using Policies
  • New concept and BETA implementation of Topologies

Our service update comes with operational improvements for monitoring and rolling updates, as well as various bug fixes.

Furthermore, we support cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) for some whitelisted hosts.

The new service release comes with following highlights:

  • User Authentication with OAuth 2.0 JSON Web Token (JWT)
    Integration with Bosch IoT Permissions, Service API 2.

  • New Search sub-resource to count your Things.

  • Get information about modified timestamp of Things.

At this occasion, various minor bug fixes have also been deployed.

The new service release improves overall cluster stability, error discovery and failure recovery:

  • Handle split brain scenarios
  • Improved monitoring and health check
  • Cleanup of obsolete events

At this occasion, various minor bug fixes (e.g. regarding subscription activation/deactivation after client reconnect) have also been deployed.

Further, we now additionally support scenarios in which you can share a client ID across the Bosch IoT Things and Bosch IoT Hub services.

Highlight: Improved API and Client, e.g. you can now handle the claim request of Things using the integration client, update a complete Thing at once, etc.

Highlight: The Relations concept was improved and harmonized with Things. In fact all concepts for Things now apply for Relations likewise. The most important benefit is for example that a Relation now holds its own Access Control List (ACL).

Highlight: Nearly all functionality for working with Features provided at the HTTP API is also available now for use in the Java Integration Client.
